Community Guidelines

Effective from June 6, 2022

As a social and sports community, being part of the Splink is a commitment to being respectful and always upholding sportsmanship - We all win when we show respect, support and a positive attitude. Here is what we expect of our players.

1. Be Respectful

Be kind and show empathy to one another

Show understanding and treat each other with kindness and courtesy on our platform and irl (in real life) too.

Small acts go a long way

Take care of each other. Give high fives. Offer some help. We all are living a life outside the realm of sports - student, working adult or a family person. A little understanding could be something that person needs.

Be you - and keep offensive stuff off Splink

Don’t try to be someone else. Respect content created by someone else. Be the real you. Post your own content. If you fake your identity and/or post something that isn’t yours, know that you may face additional consequences in addition to having it taken down. Similarly, if you see someone else doing something that violates the law or our guidelines, use our tools to block or report them. Consider contacting law enforcement if needed.

Be inclusive - no hate speech and spam

Splink is a reflection of our diverse culture and we actively eradicate discrimination in all forms. If you use Splink, you stand by our commitments with no exception. Hate speech is a direct attack on someone’s race, ethnicity, age, nationality, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender, body, disability or disease in any form. We will remove any forms of hate speech at all costs and may suspend or terminate the users and clubs who engage in it.

2. Uphold Sportsmanship

Safety comes first - always know your limits

Rest and recovery are just as important as the days you push beyond your limits. Don’t jeopardise your wellbeing at the expense of someone else’s sports experience.

Play nice and fair, and practice self-control

Don’t injure one another. If borrowed someone else’s equipment, treat it like you would your own. Damaging sporting equipment or the playing environment is a surefire way to be a bad sport, and can also embarrass yourself. We support fair play - if you cheated, own up and don’t put it on Splink. Games can get emotional, but players should always make a conscious effort to control their emotions and focus on the game.
